The Enchanted Forest

Although roses and peonies are a wedding staple, this doesn't mean your soiree has to be flowers galore!  Instead step foot into the wilderness by incorporating vines, branches and greenery. Use lanterns and candles to add to the appeal of an enchanted forest. Bring it up a notch my having a smog machine at the party, keep your guests in mind by having it is corners vs the dance floor.

Alice In Wonderland

Bring a childish element to any grown-up party by incorporating aspects from your youth. Let’s take Alice in Wonderland. This book turned into film, symbolizes all things nonsense and whimsical. The theme has the ability of combining playfulness and sophistication. Celebs like Ashlee Simpson have incorporated this concept with her wedding to Pete Wentz. The punk singers opted for a more gothic look (red and black) vs. pastels.  This is just one approach to such a broad theme. From playing cards to teacups you can personalize as desired. Go subtle by omitting any characters, simply use elements such as pocket watches, bunnies, and teacups to fill up the table. One reason why we love this theme is that is works for all occasions. The tea aspect is perfect for any baby or bridal shower simply use white linens and dollies and add pop of color pinks, greens, or blues. If you love the concept but don’t want to take it into full effect just go for a fun lopsided cake! Whether you are inspired by Lewis Carroll’s novel, the traditional cartoon or the Johnny Depp film version, make this fairytale your own.

Black & White

Black and White is a color palette that you can never go wrong with. It's the essence of elegance but with fun patterns it can bring an unexpected twist to any event. Take polka dots for example, they can make a party have a retro feel to them. Not only do these hues work well with patterns but with various colors. A popular combination is black, white and red but green (pictured below) can be equally chic but a more unique spin. Whether planning a simple backyard wedding or a more extravagant one, with black-and-white you will certainly make your event look classic.
